Typical Project Model

1. Preliminary Interview - We arrange a free 1-2 hour consultation to discuss your needs and generate ideas for the project.
2. Proposal - Based upon the preliminary interview, we create a proposal describing the website's audience, a review of similar websites, a description of existing content and content to be developed (text, photos, and graphics), a structure diagram, a schedule, and cost estimate.
   
3. Appearance Draft - We go through at least one round of appearance drafts (web page illustrations to show colors, fonts, graphic elements, and layout possibilities) to determine the look and feel of the website.
4. Research & Design Plan - Large projects may require researching the needs of a particular target audience, developing business ideas, or researching technology options. The result is a design plan outlining research results, graphic design specifications and business strategy.
5. Collect Content - We collect existing content and help the client develop new content for the website including taking photographs, writing and editing text, and creating buttons and graphics.
6. Usability Testing - For large and complex websites, at various stages of the project we conduct usability tests to make sure potential website visitors understand the purpose and features of the website and find it easy to use.
7. Online Draft (beta release) - Once a final design has been agreed upon and all the necessary content has been collected, we create an online draft. Clients can review current work online.
8. Final testing & QA – At this point the site is ready to go live. Before the launch we walk though the site with the client focal to ensure everything is exactly as it should be
9. Production Launch (Implementation) - The project is officially launched. The client receives a CD copy of all relevant work and the website is made publicly accessible on the Internet. & application development comes from both academic.
